Meet Our Staff

Stephanie MahaffeyIMG_1994
My name is Stephanie Mahaffey, Co-Owner of Little Footprints Learning Centers, Inc. I live in Madison County and I grew up in the Jackson area. I am the mother of twin girls who are seniors in high school, and are smart, kind, and at their happiest when they are caring for our children at Little Footprints.

I have been working in the field of Early Childhood Education in Mississippi since 1987 and have had the pleasure of working as Regional Director of several separate centers, Director, Preschool Coordinator, and Assistant Director. I studied Elementary Education at Mississippi College and began my career in childcare as a caregiver and teacher for all age groups. I instantly knew that I was born to work with young children.

I believe all children should have a safe educational environment to learn and grow in, so I always hoped to build a childcare center someday. Little Footprints Learning Centers, Inc. was created and built in 2008 when my business partner, Jennifer Nelson, and I crossed paths again and shared our vision of providing a quality center for the children of Madison County.

My true passion is not only working with children but sharing knowledge and life experiences with families and teachers in order to provide the best learning environment for all young learners. I am so blessed to be able to work with such a dedicated group of teachers and caregivers at Little Footprints.

I have very high expectations as a parent when it comes to the educators teaching my children and know that the Madison County Schools are exceptional. Likewise, I expect no less when I am recruiting teachers for our children at Little Footprints.

I hope that you decided to tour our program and enroll, that we will become partners in your child’s education and daily care. Little Footprints Learning Centers are committed to helping children grow and learn in a safe, creative, and nurturing environment.
